UNDERWRITING PHILOSOPHY
We have determined which classes of business are most desirable from an underwriting perspective. Our Appetite Guide lists these target classifications, which fall into one of two categories: "A" List Classes, those we consider DESIRABLE and "B" List Classes, those we consider ACCEPTABLE. Together these categories represent over 200 businesses and include but are not limited to such risks as Dairy Products Manufacturing, Fruit or Vegetable Juice Manufacturing, Equipment Distributors, Plumbing Supply Distributors, Consumer Electronic Stores, Machine Shops, Office Machine Manufacturing, Auto Parts Distributors, Lawn & Garden Supply Stores, Interior Decorators, Water Softening Equipment Installation, and Golf Courses.

We recognize that not all accounts fall under our preferred list and are committed to listening to our partner agents when they have "Best of Class" opportunities that may not fit neatly into our most desirable business classes. Today, our business writings fall across the board as a result of our ability to mix your expertise with our pricing discipline.

PARTNER PIPELINE
A tailored approach to each captive means that a wide variety of information is necessary in order to support our partners' marketing, underwriting, and processing activities. We provide as much of this information as possible via our Partner Information Pipeline so the agent has access to it 24/7. Current products available through PIP include:

  • GAIC Mainframe access to policy quote and issuance systems
  • MVR Ordering System
  • Claims Data Information System
  • ODEN Cancellation/Nonrenewal Information
  • ITV Calculation Software
  • ISO Specific Rates
  • GAIC's Product Development & Compliance Website
  • GAIC's Commercial Processing Guide
  • Dun & Bradstreet Report Ordering Access
  • AM Best Underwriting Guides
  • GAIC Loss Prevention Website

With feedback from our partners we continue to add valuable tools to PIP to put all necessary information at their fingertips.
